Healing Miracle

DEL'S TESTIMONY
In May 1984 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I underwent surgery to have the prostate and approximately 30 lymph nodes removed. Pathology reports indicated that cancer had spread into the lymph nodes, which placed me in the category of a terminal patient. After surgery, I opted for an alternative treatment, and for the next 12 years that was able to keep it in check. During the past year, however, it started to become more active and harder to control. A bone scan and CT scan of October 30, 1996 showed cancer in a number of spots in the spine, pelvis, and shoulder as well as in some lymph nodes. I had been very fortunate that I continued to feel quite well during this time.

Testimony of Healing from Jesus

Turning to the Body of Christ For Healing,

Felicia Healed of Cancer - Her Story

By Leo Fasciocco as told by Felicia Bradley

Bert and Felcia Bradley of Santa Monica, Ca., sent out their Christmas cards with a letter. In it they said: "We are all blessed with good health, including Felicia who continues to outwit the medical profession with her prayer group."
Felicia, the mother of three boys and one girl, has been fighting a battle with cancer. Her condition was first discovered at St. John's hospital in Santa Monica. Following the diagnosis, Felicia underwent six weeks of cobalt treatment.
"I was shocked," she said. "I remember biting my lip and saying, 'Oh God! How could you do this to me.'"
However, despite it all, Felicia and her husband Bert, a convert to Catholicism contined going to mass and Holy Communion at their parish church, St. Paul's in West Los Angeles.
It was around this time that Felicia and Bert, both members of the Christian Family Movement and seven other couples decided to attend a charismatic mass at Loyola University, Los Angeles. They went there as members of the Christian Family Movement seeking to learn more about the charismatic renewal in the church. However, they were not impressed.
"It seemed far out and weird, what with tongues (glossalalia) and the atmosphere," Felicia recalls. It may have been fine for some people, but not for us. Time passed and Felicia went for another bone scan test at St. John's Hospital. This time the scan showed "positive," thus indicating that cancer would probably develop in her rib cage and numerous spots along the spine.
"I really became upset," says Felicia. "Being a registered nurse myself , I knew the vast implications. My doctor told me to se an oncologist, a cancer specialist.

Diagnosed skin cancer healed

In the fall of 2008, an unsightly growth appeared on my forehead. I’d witnessed and experienced healings of illness, injury, loss, and other challenges in our family throughout my life, and it was natural to turn first to Christian Science prayer-based treatment. I also called a Christian Science practitioner for support.
However, as the growth got bigger, so did my fear, which prompted me to see a dermatologist. A biopsy was performed, and I was told that this was skin cancer, caused by heredity and prior sun damage. Radiation or surgery was given as options for removal. Surgery was scheduled with a specialist because the doctor felt the growth was too large for him to remove, and that plastic surgery might also be required.
As this information was being presented, an angel message of spiritual strength assured me that I did have a third, and better, choice. It became clear to me that medical options offer a temporary material fix, whereas metaphysical healing through Christian Science provides a permanent spiritual solution. Fear, self-condemnation, and family members’ concerns had seemed to be reasons to seek a medical diagnosis. I now know that there needed to be much more alertness every day, on my part, to what Mary Baker Eddy referred to as “animal magnetism,” the idea that there is a power at work in our lives opposed to God.
Meeting and speaking with the Christian Science practitioner again on a regular basis gave me a renewed sense of my spiritual identity, and the confidence to cancel the surgery. The medical staff called, concerned about the canceled appointment, but I assured them that I was in good care and relying on Christian Science treatment. I knew that healing was going on, and felt more and more confident that I could totally trust and yield to the power of God’s love and care.
